ArtCan Gallery & Café occupies the oldest building in the village of Canning, Nova Scotia, welcoming locals and visitors alike.

There's always something to look at here at ArtCan, from the displays of Nova Scotia art in the gallery to scenic views of the Canning Historic Shipyard and the Habitant River from the Café. We've now added an exciting selection of art books for you to browse through while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the gallery. The atmosphere is friendly so you're sure to feel at home.

Chef Nelson Penner has created menus with something for everyone, with a daily menu on weekdays, and brunch on weekends. Ask about our Gourmet Nights, which combine fine dining and performances by local artists.

Owner Ron Hayes has created a place where everyone is encouraged to experience making art, with a variety of classes and workshops. The ArtCan Store offers a wide range of art supplies, and we also offer custom art framing services on site.

ArtCan Gallery & Café is open during the day 7 days a week, with some evening openings during the summer months.
